Analyse your iOS device

We’re used to delving into Settings to find out system info for our iPhones and iPads, but iOS has always lacked a Maclike Activity Monitor app.

OmniStat addresses this by revealing the goings on at the heart of your device, such as current CPU usage, RAM status and currently running processes, so you can selfdiagnose problems.

Though the app interface offers all the info you need, it comes into its own with the Notification Centre extension. Here, you don’t even need to launch the app; the real time at-a-glance presentation is perfect for telling you what you need to know, such as how long your battery will last for browsing, talk time, music or standby mode, and was generally accurate.

Back in the app itself, the presentation is good, but some data isn’t given a proper explanation. Christian Hall

Not an app for everyday use, but it could be just the thing to uncover a potential iOS problem.
