Sync and apps

Apps for iOS and other platforms?

-

You won’t find it a problem keeping your stuff in sync – all of the Mac apps synchronise with their mobile equivalents. All the apps here are good quality iOS apps that work in tandem with them, but only Any.do and Wunderlist offer them for free (again they hope you’ll one day upgrade to a premium account). It’s a shame there’s a separate cost for both the iPhone and iPad apps for Things – a money grab OmniFocus also suffers from. Surely this is taking it a bit far, especially as these are two of the three most expensive Mac apps here and they’re really rather expensive on iOS, too. If you were to pay out for the Mac, iPhone and iPad apps for OmniFocus, you’re talking about £68, which is not an insignificant outlay (though maybe still justifiable if you’re going to use it long term).

If you’re the kind of person who has a plethora of devices (especially if they aren’t Apple only) Wunderlist is for you. Of the remaining apps, only Any.do offers a web version (say, to use in your browser at work) and there’s a Chrome extension to boot.
