What gets copied

1 Fi­nal Cut can point you in the right di­rec­tion, and the ex­act word­ing of th­ese me­dia man­age­ment fea­tures also serves as a re­minder of what will be copied when you fol­low the ar­chiv­ing steps as dis­cussed on this page.

Man­age­ment op­tions

2 What you se­lect in the top left pane is im­por­tant when us­ing Fi­nal Cut’s me­dia man­age­ment fea­tures. Make sure you take no­tice of the dif­fer­ent types of pur­ple icon for Li­braries (four shapes in­side a square) and Events (a white star in­side a cir­cle).

Li­brary list

3 You can hide the list of Li­braries and Events to give your­self more room to work with your me­dia, but at some point you may need to bring them back. Just click this but­ton to re­veal the list.

Mul­ti­ple items

4 Re­mem­ber that you can se­lect more than one event or more than one project at a time by hold­ing ç, which al­lows you to se­lec­tively ar­chive mul­ti­ple items in a Li­brary.
