The infinite update loop

Mac Format - - APPLE TALK -

I have an iPad 3 that was working wonderfully until I foolishly agreed to upgrade iOS. What a mistake that was! My iPad is now stuck in permanent upgrade land! Whatever I do, the update screen with the progress bar and the Apple logo keeps coming back. This eventually changes to ‘Update Completed’, but before I get to my Home screen the progress bar is back and I have to wait for the update again! Jen Rochelle

I’ve heard of this in a handful of cases since the iOS 8.3 update. Unfortunately, the only fix found so far is to perform a factory reset. Connect your iPad to your Mac using its USB cable and open iTunes. Go to the Summary page for the iPad and click the Restore button.
