Mixed-up minimalist writing

What makes this app different to the many other distraction-free writing tools on the Mac is that it isn’t a Markdown editor like, say, iA Writer or Byword. It can export to Markdown, but it provides no preview of how your formatting will look.
In addition, Paragraphs has text formatting options for changing some character attributes (though not the font), unlike some of its competitors. So, you can make text bold or italic, for example. And you can set sections as headings, subheadings, or quotes, which would be handy if you could publish directly to a blog, but Paragraphs doesn’t allow that.
Your documents are listed in an iOS-like document picker, which serves little purpose on the desktop.
Sadly, in trying not to be just another minimalist writing app, Paragraphs ignores features that make its rivals great, and doesn’t replace them with anything that justifies its price tag. Kenny Hemphill
A flawed idea whose elegant execution isn’t enough to make it worth the asking price.
