UNDERUSED CAPACITY

Mac Format - - CONTACTS - BY SVERRIR ARNGRÍMSSON

With the iPhone now available with 256GB of storage, I think it’s high time to relinquish cloud dependence in favour of locally stored documents and databases, should one choose to do so.

I recently had to travel for 16 days without Wi-Fi coverage. To my dismay I was rudely awakened to the fact that most of my iPhone apps – Dropbox, One Drive, Goodreads and Evernote, to name a few – were rendered useless as they depend on internet access to open many things. Time for a rethink from Apple on this one?
