This month’s prize is not just any old monitor – it’s a stunning 34-inch

curved display. If you’ve never used a curved screen before, you’ll be blown away when you sit down in front of one of these beauties.

We reviewed the Philips 349X7FJEW in MF316 and really were taken aback by the dimensions of the display – our reviewer described its amazing size as “freakishly wide!” Standing at a full 81cm (3ft) wide and with a 3440x1440 resolution, it’s got a huge amount of screen space for all your apps and files.

Why go for a curved display? At this size, a large flat monitor might suffer from shifts in colour because its width means you’ll be viewing some portions of the screen from an angle. But if the screen is curved, it’s all directly facing you, making for fantastic image quality at every viewing angle.

It comes with a good selection of ports, including four USB 3.0 ports, two HDMI ports (one of which is HDMI 2.0), plus one DisplayPort. Even its speakers are excellent for a monitor – something you don’t see very often.

So whether you want to use this as a secondary display or as your main monitor hooked up to your Mac, we know you’ll love using it.
