When are KRACK Wi-Fi fixes due?

The KRACK family of Wi-Fi security vulnerabilities is fixed by firmware updates for Apple’s networking devices. Apple released firmwares 7.6.9 and 7.7.9 for AirPort devices last year (installed using AirPort Utility for macOS or iOS). For non‑Apple kit, check manufacturers’ websites for updates.

Why can’t I share Skim PDFs via iCloud?

Skim (an open-source PDF markup app) puts its markup in extended attributes, so as not to alter the underlying doc. Most cloud services have limited or no support for those extended attributes, so unless you put your Skim PDF inside a Zip archive or similar, all your work gets stripped and lost.
