What devices will work with HomePod?

You can use Siri on the iPhone or HomePod to control home appliances, such as lighting or thermostats – but only if those appliances are compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform. This is quite a complicated undertaking, so there aren’t many devices currently available that support HomeKit. Apple’s hope is that the HomePod will sell well and encourage more manufacturers to support HomeKit in the future.
