Foodbank in final appeal

Mandurah Coastal Times - - NEWS -

IT was a diverse, but certainly generous, collection of people who gathered at Government House last week to give a final push to Foodbank’s 2016 Christmas Appeal.

The link between the 15 wellknown West Australians, who included Governor Kerry Sanderson, former politician and RSLWA president Graham Edwards, former WA Australian of the Year Lyn Beazley and Paralympian Adam Deans, is that they all thrive as Australia Day WA ambassadors.

The 15 ambassadors were selected in recognition of their achievements and strong Aussie values and contribution throughout the year.

On Australia Day, they volunteer their time to visit local WA communities, sharing their inspiring stories and participating in celebrations.

There is still time to give food items to the Appeal and help families in need at Christmas.

Take donations to any Hawaiian Shopping Centre and drop them in the collection boxes.
