WHAT’S IN IT FOR MANDURAH?

Mandurah Coastal Times - - OPINION -

AS the people of Mandurah and surrounds reach a fever pitch of excitement having to vote in March, what's in it for you?

North of the Swan River we see huge million dollars worth of marinas, arguments by both political parties on where they plan to spend more millions on railway lines and railway stations north of the river. I mean fair dinkum where else would they do all this? Hey, what about Mandurah?

In case you don't know we are south of Rockingham. We have a dumpy railway station in the middle of no man’s land overlooked by a useless footbridge.

We don't want squillions spent on a new sports stadium. All we would like is a new bridge alongside the Mandurah Estuary Bridge as the flow-in system off the Old Coast Road is bloody obsolete.

CHARLIE GIBSON, Falcon.
