Work on equestrian centre is under way

Mandurah Coastal Times - - STREET WATCH -

WORKS on the Murray Regional Equestrian Centre Stage Two are under way.

The latest stage for the centre will make the facility a truly regional one with all the necessary facilities and disciplines a regional centre is required to provide.

The new additions will include a dressage arena, a horse wash-down facility, horse stalls and a large storage shed.

Alcoa and the State Government through the Department of Sport and Recreation have helped with the cost.

The construction will also include a new three-star equestrian cross-country course, which will cater for regional competitions, as well as additional works to the polocrosse fields.

Both the cross-country course and polocrosse field works have been funded through the Royalties for Regions program. Stage 2 is expected to be completed by June this year.
