AVIVO

Mandurah Coastal Times - - THE NEXT STEP -

AS an Avivo customer, 88-year-old Angela Margio has had support for a number of years, along with her son John.

“The team were so helpful for me and John and when he went into hospital, my service co-ordinator Cheryl Nardi was always checking in to see how I was and if there was anything Avivo could do for me,” Angela said.

Since John’s passing last year, Angela now has support each morning to help with getting up and ready for the day.

“I have a wonderful team of support workers and one has been with me for about 10 years now,” she said.

“All the girls are great; I have a beautiful team and I never feel like just one of the mob.”

Angela wants to remain in her home, visited by her friends and family and surrounded by the things that are important to her.

“I’ve lived here for about 50 years now and my home has so many wonderful memories and having Avivo means that I can continue to live here,” she said.

“With John gone, I haven’t been wanting to do much but the girls are supporting me to get out a bit.

“I went to Innaloo Shopping Centre a few weeks ago and it was great to have my support worker with me to help me find my way around and also find my way out!”

Angela said with Avivo, no problem is too small or too big.

“Cheryl and the team always make me feel wanted – they are all approachable and I never feel like I can’t call them,” she said.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank them very much. Avivo is marvellous and has been with me every step of the way.”
