Mandurah Coastal Times - - OPINION - LINDA HUGHES, Wannanup

RE: “Quarrel over Quarry Park”, Times, October 11:

Mr McDonald, I refer to your comments regarding Quarry Park.

I think you will find it isn’t the council that treats Quarry Park like a second rate dump but the mindless vandals who go around the City running amok intent on destroying our recreational spaces with total disregard for community assets.

I am sure the majority of people would agree with you that we shouldn’t be subjected to profane graffiti. We shouldn’t be subjected to any type of vandalism.

Instead of ripping into the council, which in my opinion does a fantastic job maintaining our beautiful cioty, why not direct your anger and frustration towards these dysfunctional thugs and your energy into lobbying for crime prevention strategies, police enforcement and stronger measures to punish the perpetrators?

Let’s all work together to stamp out this abhorrent behaviour.
