Mandurah Coastal Times - - OPINION - CHARLIE GIBSON, Falcon

TO see the State police having to march in protest regarding a pay rise is embarrassing, not only for them but for us, the people of WA who fully support them.

Over the year we have seen criminal activity grow and the job of our police become more dangerous so yes, we must be prepared to pay more to get the best people for our safety and security.

Certain individuals have worked to undermine the respect of our police over the years by removing the word Force and replacing it with Service.

As we see drugs, violence and general stupidity increasing, we now need a very strong and yes, well-paid State police, as they are the final barrier against the complete failure of society as we know it.

Every poll that is held shows our decent citizens regard crime as top priority so our police must be first in the priority listing.
