Baker hopes she has per­fect pitch

SIN­GLE­TON res­i­dent Erica Urquiaga will take part in the in­au­gu­ral Pitch for Good in Perth on Thurs­day.

She hopes the live crowd­fund­ing event will help achieve her goal of build­ing a com­mu­nity cafe in the Philip­pines, with prof­its go­ing into ed­u­ca­tion and training for lo­cals.

Ms Urquiaga runs Baked by Erica, bak­ing soft cook­ies for de­liv­ery and sale at mar­kets such as Perth Mak­ers Mar­ket.

The Pitch for Good is at Perth Town Hall, with tick­ets in­clud­ing three $10 vot­ing chips for the 250 guests to put to­wards their favourite pro­ject, matched by City of Perth.

A 30-day on­line crowd­fund­ing cam­paign will then fol­low.
