MANIA: How did you get into monster truck driving?

RHIANNA: “I grew up riding motorbikes and ballet dancing. For the past two years I’ve hosted Monster Jam in Australia. At the end of that tour they asked if I’d be interested in going to Monster Jam University to become a driver.”

MANIA: You’re also a stunt driver. What’s the most dangerous stunt you’ve had to do?

RHIANNA: “The last craziest stunt I did was drag someone behind my bike and then kick them off as we went around a corner!”

MANIA: What is Monster Jam training school like?

RHIANNA: “Very intense. It’s a lot of hard work and there’s a lot of safety involved. You do a lot of drills, but then you get to do whatever you want in a freestyle session.”

MANIA: What’s your favourite thing to do during the freestyle session?

RHIANNA: “Hitting cars and doing donuts.”

MANIA: Have you landed a back flip?

RHIANNA: “Not yet...”

MANIA: Is it hard controlling such a powerful vehicle?

RHIANNA: “It is. You’ve gotta be mentally and physically ready.”

MANIA: How do you keep your cool when you crash?

RHIANNA: “I’ve landed upside down a couple of times by accident. When that happens you can’t help but have a bit of a laugh.”

MANIA: Do you have any secret skills?

RHIANNA: “My friends say I’m an animal whisperer!” CATCH RHIANNA AND MORE HEAVY METAL MAYHEM DURING MONSTER JAM’S AUSTRALIAN TOUR FROM 7TH TO 21ST OCTOBER.
