COLES Manjimup is jumping on board a national fundraising opportunity to help families affected by cancer.

Until May 23, people who visit the store can buy a $2 donation card to write a message of kindness to someone special and raise money for the charity Redkite at the same time. Redkite provides financial and emotional support for families affected by cancer and the fundraiser was launched to coincide with Mother’s Day.

Coles manager Tom McMillan said the Manjimup store had supported the Redkite charity for a number of years.

“It’s a great charity – there are many regional families affected by cancer,” he said.

“Thanks to the community for its donations and support.”

Redkite marketing and fundraising manager Monique Keighery said the donation cards could impart kind words to someone special and at the same time, the money raised could help mums who were facing their child’s cancer.

Coles Manjimup manager Tom McMillan, team member Denise Taylor, service manager Linda Lefroy, and team member Jess Durbin are encouraging the community to help families affected by cancer by purchasing a $2 donation card as part of the Redkite charity.
