Wet weather road warning
A 26-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with criminal damage after he allegedly smashed windows at premises on Leman Street last week.
It was alleged he went around the house and threw big lumps of concrete through the window.
He will appear in the Manjimup Magistrates Court at a later date.
In a separate incident, a Balingup woman has been charged with speeding and drug offences as a result of a routine vehicle stop on South Western Highway on Saturday. Police are urging drivers to take care on the roads during the wetter weather and drive to the conditions.
Traditionally there are traffic crashes on our roads after the first decent rains of the season, said officer-in-charge Sgt Harry Arnott.
“Police are urging people to leave a bit earlier and plan their trip,” he said.
“Taking a bit of extra time and making sure they arrive safe.”
