THE region’s littlest footballers celebrated the end of the Auskick season with a skills and game carnival at Tigers Oval on Saturday.

The event was organised between the Lower South West Football League’s Volunteer of the Year Josh Rayson and the league with the help of some of Rayson’s students from Manjimup Senior High School.

“It’s something to formalise the end of the season and keeps the kids engaged and active,” Rayson said.

All the clubs in the Lower South West Junior Football Association, except for Kojonup, participated in the carnival and included an invitation to Nannup children.

About 100 children enjoyed the event, which went from 1pm until about 3pm.

Elijah Bennett, 7, takes possession of the ball.

Corey Giancola, 8, is under pressure as he kicks.

Byron Sebire, 9, kicks the ball.
