Dash cam leads to driv­ing charge

PEM­BER­TON po­lice were ac­tive on the roads at the week­end charg­ing peo­ple in three sep­a­rate in­ci­dents.

On Fri­day, a 28-year-old for­eign na­tional was charged with dan­ger­ous driv­ing as a re­sult of dash cam footage sup­plied by a mem­ber of the com­mu­nity.

On Satur­day, as a re­sult of a ve­hi­cle stop, a 37-year-old man was charged with pos­sess­ing a quan­tity of heroin, sy­ringes, pills and cannabis.

On Mon­day, a 33-year-old driver trav­el­ling at 98kmh in a 50kmh zone was charged with reck­less driv­ing and had his Mercedes-Benz seized for 28 days.

The ac­cused peo­ple will ap­pear in the Man­jimup Mag­is­trates Court at a later date.
