Cougars claim two War­ren hockey wins

THE Cougars de­feated Na­tion­als 21 in the A Grade War­ren Women’s Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion Grand Fi­nal on Satur­day at the Col­lier Street sport­ing grounds.

It was a fierce game be­tween the the Cougars and Na­tion­als, with both teams vy­ing for the glory.

It was the Cougars’ first pre­mier­ship win since 2010.

In the B-Grade divi­sion, Cougars de­feated Na­tion­als on a penalty cor­ner count­back.

In A Grade Mel Wa­ters was awarded the most val­ued player award with Elle Ryan com­ing in as run­ner-up.

In B Grade Kodie Collins was awarded most val­ued player and

El­cin Cook was awarded run­nerup. Sue Birnie was awarded an hon­orary mem­ber­ship for her past

and con­tin­ued sup­port and spon­sor­ship of the War­ren Women’s Hockey As­so­ci­a­tion.
