Budget silver lining?

Manjimup-Bridgetown Times - - Times | News -

THE release of last week’s 2017/18 State Budget has left some less than pleased with what it could mean for the Lower South West. There is hope the roll out of some money could still indirectly apply to the region through things like the Regional Events Scheme and regional road safety programs.

However, there are concerns PATS and TAFE subsidies for regional students have not been properly funded and Royalties for Regions money will be used on items that should come from regular funding streams, so the region would need to get a fair slice of this pie to make up for the shortfalls.
