PEM­BER­TON District High School and Man­jimup Se­nior High School have agreed to de­velop a stronger part­ner­ship in the de­liv­ery of ed­u­ca­tion.

The part­ner­ship is in re­sponse to district high school num­bers fall­ing across the State as bound­aries change and the per­cep­tion that an ear­lier start at a big­ger school up the road is an ad­van­tage.

THE Nor­nalup Tea­house Res­tau­rant has been in­cluded in the 2008 edi­tion of Aus­tralian Gourmet Trav­eller and will soon be fea­tured in life­style mag­a­zines Scoop and De­li­cious.

Writ­ers for these pub­li­ca­tions have come across the lo­cal eatery dur­ing their trav­els and been im­pressed.

AS the Back to Fonty’s Day on Aus­tralia Day 2008 fast ap­proaches own­ers Kelly and Jeremy Beis­sel are busy restor­ing the venue to its former glory as well as mak­ing a few new ad­di­tions.

A new stage has built next to the pool while much of the lawn has been re­planted.

THE 29th Black­wood Marathon Re­lay this year cel­e­brates the 20th ironman race.

In­tro­duced to cel­e­brate Aus­tralia’s bi-cen­te­nary, the ironman cat­e­gory has seen 60 men and 36 women at­tempt this in­di­vid­ual cat­e­gory.
