En­joy thrills and spills at the rodeo

THE an­nual Har­vey Dick­son Rodeo re­turns this month of­fer­ing fun for the whole fam­ily.

Held at the Boyup Brook Coun­try Mu­sic Cen­tre from Oc­to­ber 27-29, the rodeo will fea­ture events such as the ever-pop­u­lar bull ride, team rop­ing, steer wrestling and a ladies bar­rel race.

The event also in­cludes live mu­sic, food stalls and chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment.

There will be a Fri­day night shindig held at the Coun­try Mu­sic Cen­tre on Oc­to­ber 27 from 6.30pm, with tick­ets lim­ited.

The main event kicks off on Oc­to­ber 28 from 7.30am when gates open.

The ju­nior rodeo and slack kicks off from 9am, mar­ket stalls, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties and record room tours from 10am and the main rodeo event runs from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.

Live mu­sic will be­gin at about 5.30pm through un­til 11.30pm.

Oc­to­ber 29 events kick off with the break­fast at 7.30am, the Sun­day Morn­ing Com­ing Down at 9am with the event fin­ish­ing at 11am.

En­try into the Oc­to­ber 28 event are adults $40, 13 to 17-year-olds $20 and chil­dren 12 and un­der are free.

Chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vided by Lady­bird En­ter­tain­ment and in­cludes singing, face paint­ing and bush crafts.

There is also camp­ing avail­able from Oc­to­ber 27 at $10 for the week­end per per­son across the week­end.
