Motocross riders crown stellar season
MANJIMUP riders celebrated success in the State Motocross Championships at the 2017 Shannons Insurance Night of Champions in Perth last month.
In addition to Neville Cutts being recognised in the Motorcycling WA Hall of Fame, five junior riders were rewarded for their efforts this season.
Tate Paganini, 11, was third overall in the 10 to under 12 65cc and Kai McGinty, 10, finished third in the 7 to under 10 65cc.
Cobey Brown, 11, just missed out on a place and was forth in the small wheel 85cc.
Camball McMahon, 13, finished fifth in the big wheel 85cc and Bailey Smith, 13, was eighth in the big wheel 85cc.
The results come less than a month after Manjimup representatives cleaned up at the South West Interclub Motocross Championships.
Manjimup Motorcycle Club has also been announced as one of eight successful clubs to be chosen to host a stage of the State Motocross Championships in 2018.
The club will hold a senior and junior double header over Easter from March 31 to April 1.
About 400 riders from around the State are expected to compete in the event.
Kai McGinty and Tate Paginini celebrate finishing third in their divisions at the awards night last month.
