ARTISTS GET CRE­ATIVE FOR EX­HI­BI­TION

CRE­ATIVE minds are be­ing en­cour­aged to in­ter­pret art­works and be in­volved with an ex­hi­bi­tion to be held in Novem­ber.

Cre­ative Con­nec­tions’ The Ebb and Flow of Link­ing Wa­ter­ways ex­hi­bi­tion in­volves eight artists from through­out the State sub­mit­ting wa­ter-re­lated art­work.

Peo­ple are then in­vited to pro­vide in­ter­pre­tive works based on the host artists by us­ing var­i­ous cre­ative for­mats in­clud­ing po­etry, paint­ings, pho­tog­ra­phy, sculp­ture and more.

The host art­works have now been com­pleted and peo­ple who are in­ter­ested in in­ter­pret­ing the works are be­ing called on to con­tact ex­hi­bi­tion or­gan­is­ers so they can be pro­vided with a copy of a host work.

The first of five work­shops re­lated to the ex­hi­bi­tion will be held on June 23 with artist Sam Harris, with a fo­cus on wa­ter in pho­tog­ra­phy at the Wind­mill Gallery in North­cliffe.

The free one day work­shop will be held from 9.30am and par­tic­i­pants must pro­vide their own cam­era or smart­phone.

This is not a begin­ner’s work­shop for peo­ple learn­ing how to use a cam­era.
