Manjimup Town Centre Revitalisation
New townsite entry roundabout
The northern roundabout is currently on schedule for completion on 18 June 2018. Giblett and Blechynden Streets will remain closed until the installation of permanent lighting is complete. The Shire is currently working on ideas for a central feature for the roundabout, including landscaping works which will be commencing soon.
Manjimup Heritage Park SWEE
Exhibition designers visited Manjimup for three days and viewed the energy collection and began interpretation planning. Civil works design concepts have been prepared including the new Giblett Street carpark, coach drop off bay, small roundabout at Rose & Giblett Street intersection and a potential upgrade of the Rose Street carpark.
State Timber Museum
90% of graphics completed and approved, memorial area gutted and new structural steel installed. Completion due in June 2018.
Three of the twelve shipping containers that the energy collection have been stored in have been emptied into the Volunteer Hub.
Rail and Relics
Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions have donated logs and earthworks to recreate a log landing. Works will commence in the coming weeks.
Works will commence shortly on the construction of a new asphalt dual use path along the railway corridor between Ipsen and Ralston Streets.
Manjin Rec Plaza
Construction of a new 3 on 3 basketball court has commenced abutting the northern end of the skate park.
It is anticipated that works on drainage infrastructure (this being the first phase of the works) will be commencing prior to the end of the financial year.
