Growers and self-supply water users are being encouraged to get along to a series of water workshops.
The first of the workshops will provide information to the community and agriculture/horticulture industry on how water availability is determined and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s Donnelly Catchment modelling.
The department is also seeking feedback to inform its decision.
The first meeting will be held
from 5pm at the Pemberton Sports Club on October 23, the second in Manjimup on October 24 at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development office from 9am, 1pm and 5pm and again on October 25 at 9am. Registrations are essential and can be made by calling 9726 4111.
The second workshop series will be a cost recovery information session and workshop and will cover the proposed licensing fees the State Government is looking to implement for new water licence applications and licence renewals.
