Bluegrass mandolin maestro to perform
Warren Arts Council has organised for bluegrass mandolin maestro Mike Compton to come to Manjimup on November 14.
Compton has been labelled by the New York Times as a new bluegrass instrumental hero for his mandolin playing.
He has won Grammy awards for his musical work, including the O Brother, Where Art Thou? film soundtrack.
He will perform at Four Aces Bar at the Manjimup Hotel.
Doors open 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Mandolin player from Bluegrass Parkway Paul Duff will also be giving a talk before the concert.
Compton will be playing one of Duff’s mandolins during his concert.
