Bush market donates to CFA brigades
THE Mansfield Bush Market Association recently provided donations of $500 each to the Barjarg and Tolmie CFA brigades.
The money is part of a new program from the bush market to provide regular and much needed funding to local emergency services.
The Tolmie Brigade purchased some heavy duty snatch straps and shackles to enhance the its fire fighting and rescue capabilities.
The bush market will be seeking to provide funding annually to the CFA in the region by way of purchasing assistance for equipment items needed on a group basis.
At present the Mansfield Brigade Group is looking at providing a number of units with new hose reels that will make life much easier and safer for the brigade members.
The Mansfield Bush Market Association is more than happy to assist in this purchase.
Additionally, it is also entering into discussions with the State Emergency Service (SES), and the Ambulance Service to support funding for much needed equipment.
The Association is very happy it can provide this funding to local emergency services, as they regularly put themselves in harm’s way for all of us.
This is a small way for the Mansfield community to help them out.
