An­other doc­tor, and her fam­ily, now call Mans­field home

MANS­FIELD has wel­comed yet an­other fan­tas­tic med­i­cal prac­ti­tioner to its ranks with the ar­rival of ob­ste­tri­cian Dr Mar­ian Mor­ris­sey.

Dr Mor­ris­sey has a par­tic­u­lar in­ter­est in an­te­na­tal care and the de­liv­ery of ba­bies.

Af­ter spend­ing her years as a ju­nior doc­tor work­ing in Townsville, Dr Mor­ris­sey un­der­took her ob­stet­rics train­ing at the King Ed­ward Hos­pi­tal in Perth be­fore mov­ing to Mans­field with her hus­band Heath and their three chil­dren.

Dr Mor­ris­sey has been a doc­tor now for five years, has a diploma of child health and is un­der­tak­ing her Gen­eral Prac­ti­tioner (GP) train­ing in Mans­field, mean­ing she will soon be­come a GP ob­ste­tri­cian.

She will prac­tice at Cen­tral Gen­eral Prac­tice Mans­field and in Emer­gency at Mans­field District Hos­pi­tal, and also aims to work up on the ski fields dur­ing the snow sea­son.

Dr Mor­ris­sey’s fam­ily love their camp­ing and are look­ing for­ward to the ski sea­son, and she says her three chil­dren love Mans­field and are fit­ting in well.
