PLAYERS are welcome to register for under 10’s and 12’s football this week.

Registration will be held at training today (Wednesday, March 29) between 4pm and 6pm.

For further information regarding registration or all things junior footy, please contact Tammy Purcell on 0417 309 261.

Training for both under 10’s and 12’s are held once a week on Wednesdays.

The season kicks off Saturday, April 22.

Both age groups play in the Mansfield Junior Football League.

That’s right, the teams play between themselves, so how does it work?

Both under 10’s and 12’s are split in to two evenly matched teams.

In under 10’s you have the Hawks and Demons, and in under 12’s you have the Blues and Bombers.

It is a unique situation, but with two teams, local kids can play footy each and every week and never miss out.

The Mansfield junior football program believes at this age, kids should be able to run out and play with their mates every Saturday, regardless of skill level.

Let’s see how these season long rivalries develop!
