Here comes the bride
MANSFIELD Wedding Fair is being touted as the location to plan a High Country wedding of your dreams.
Mansfield Shire Council has partnered with Mansfield Party Hire to host the wedding fair in the centre of town on Saturday, September 9 from 2pm to 6pm.
There will be over 30 local vendors showcasing the best Mansfield and district has to offer.
“This event was last held back in 2015 and achieved some amazing results for our local businesses,” Mansfield Shire mayor Paul Volkering said.
“Over 50 weddings were booked as a direct result of holding the Mansfield Wedding Fair which is a wonderful outcome for our town.”
“With 75 per cent of the weddings booked by non-locals at an average cost of $30,000, weddings are big business that provide huge economic benefit to our town,” said Mansfield Party Hire director Kim Peterson.
“With the trend towards rustic, romantic themed weddings, Mansfield and district provides the perfect setting that attracts prospective couples to have their wedding here.
“By holding a wedding fair, we are just trying to make it easier to capture that market.”
Cr Volkering said it’s encouraging to see local businesses collaborating together to motivate and inspire a vibrant business economy.
