MPS pack a punch on the slopes

Mansfield Courier - - SPORT -

MANSFIELD Primary School was represented by only a handful of students at the recent Victorian Interschools Snowsports Championships, but as a group they punched above their weight in the huge competitive fields.

In Division Five, in her first competition, 10 year old Estelle O’Neil went through qualifying races to rank 14th from 112 starters to claim a place in two events at the nationals which is being held at Mt Buller this year.

Estelle’s parents, Ross O’Neill and Emma Shorland, are well known skiing identities and it seems that their DNA has been passed on to Estelle.

IN THE BLOOD: Mansfield Primary School’s Estelle O’Neill has competed strongly during the recent interschools on Mt Buller, earning her a spot at nationals.
