His­toric so­ci­ety van­dalised

THE train at the Mans­field His­toric So­ci­ety was van­dalised with graf­fiti ear­lier this month.

Af­ter go­ing to po­lice with the un­for­tu­nate news of the in­ci­dent, the his­toric so­ci­ety said it was bit­terly dis­ap­point­ing that peo­ple had set-back the fan­tas­tic work of the lo­cal com­mu­nity groups who had put time into the his­toric site.

“We are very up­set be­cause of all the time and ef­fort our gen­er­ous vol­un­teers have put into main­te­nance,” said a Mans­field His­toric So­ci­ety spokesper­son.
