Ahoy me hearties

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS/PEOPLE -

SOMETIMES, you don’t need any reason at all to dress up.

If you feel like wearing your favourite Elsa dress, put that blue frock on and wear it with pride.

If George the monkey is your idol, don a brown fluffy onesie and strut your stuff.

Last week, that was exactly the motto employed by the Mansfield Cubby House – although it was all about pirates and their ocean faring buddies.

Never was there a better excuse for Cubby children to run around with swords, shouting classic pirate phrases such as “ahoy me hearties”, “shiver me timbers” and “argh ye land lover”.

SWORDS OUT: Pictured ready to fight the bad pirates (from left) are Ethan Wood, Tyson Brown and Emma Davies.
