A correction, and confirmation, of local housing condition

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS/PEOPLE -

IN last week’s edition of the Mansfield Courier, in an article related to the present challenges facing Mansfield’s homeless, the paper misquoted Mansfield Shire councillor Paul Sladdin.

In the October 25 article, ‘Local housing defies Mansfield’s homeless’,

the Courier quoted Cr Sladdin at October’s council meeting saying, “we do not have any priceless accommodation in Mansfield, and that’s the issue”.

The correct quote from Cr Sladdin was in fact, “we do not have any *crisis* accommodation in Mansfield, and that’s the issue”.

Cr Sladdin went on to tell the Courier that “there is no crisis housing in Mansfield is a significant issue, in addition to other lack of affordable housing”.

SHIRE LACKING: According to Mansfield Shire councillor Paul Sladdin, Mansfield’s lack of crisis house is “a significant issue”.
