Ogilvies Road problems

Mansfield Courier - - OPINIONS/PEOPLE -

BRAD and Janice Rodger welcome with love Hayden Leigh Rodger, born at Mansfield Hospital on October 18 at 6:42pm. Hayden is a little brother for Ada (3yrs) and Renae (2yrs). Hayden is also a new grandson for Ros Davies of Mansfield, and Barry and Joy Rodger of Chinchilla. Brad and Janice would like to thank the Mansfield District Hospital, and their amazing midwives - Gretchen and Michelle.

I WAS mystified when I read the article on page 2 of last week’s Courier.

As a daily user of Ogilvies Road, I can categorically state that repairs haven’t commenced, and the assertion that the works will be completed by the following week is ludicrous.

Residents received a letter from the contractor informing them that repairs would begin on October 23 and be finished within two weeks.

The only sign of any activity since then has been a parked roller.

The picture included with the article was clearly taken during the original resurfacing project, and in no way represents any current activity.

When can residents expect some realistic information from the contractor, and get to drive on the quality of road the shire has paid for?

Ian Todd, Mansfield
