Curtin closes on JJ’s lat­est chal­lenger

THE Bon­nie Doon Broth­er­hood has claimed yet an­other scalp af­ter JJ Curtin eas­ily out­boxed his lat­est op­po­nent at the Wer­ribee Sport­ing Club.

Af­ter the win that comes off the back of his sil­ver medal in the UK, JJ’s coach Kel Bryant said JJ had trained hard for the come­back fight, and will now take a well-earned rest with his broth­ers be­fore they all re­turn next year and get into train­ing camp.

It will be an ex­cit­ing year ahead with Youth Olympics and Youth World Cham­pi­onships all tak­ing place.

Coach Bryant has backed JJ to make his mark and show ev­ery­one how far he can go, as he looks more and more pol­ished ev­ery time he steps into the ring.

“It’s really ex­cit­ing – I be­lieve these young men can go all the way,” coach Bryant said.
