Playing politics

ONE can understand Alan Thorton supporting his friend Steve Dickson, however Alan has only told half the story.

Steve Dickson did deliver some worthwhile benefits for Buderim, however this occurred while he was the elected LNP member.

People should realise that it was the LNP State Government that provided those benefits, not Steve Dickson.

One could ask – what did Steve achieve for Buderim before the LNP became the State Government and with the return to a Labor government he has achieved very little for our electorate.

Alan goes to say that the LNP has done nothing for the Sunshine Coast.

Would he say the

$1.3 billion that federal LNP members Ted O’Brien, Andrew Wallace and Lou O’Brien have procured for upgrading the Bruce Hwy and extending the airport is nothing?

These are projects that have been promoted for years, and now thanks to their efforts are about to come to fruition.

This huge injection of Commonwealth funds is the largest the Sunshine Coast has ever gained, so Alan please give credit where credit is due.

Consider this simple question, as Queensland will have either an LNP or Labor government after the next state election, and as Buderim is considered a conservative seat, then our electorate is surely better served by an LNP member and Brent Mickelberg, the LNP candidate, has all the credentials to serve Buderim with honesty, energy and sincerity. — David Feez, Buderim
