Nominate now for business awards

Maroochy Weekly - - NEWS -

IMPROVED staff motivation and morale, better customer service and professional acknowledgment of your achievements – these are just some of the benefits local businesses have experienced from entering the Sunshine Coast Business Awards.

Nominations are now open for the 2017 awards, managed by the Maroochydore Chamber of Commerce.

Maroochydore’s Plaza Central Dentists owner Dr Rakesh Jivan said other businesses should consider nominating for the 2017 Sunshine Coast Business Awards following his win in 2016.

“Last year was a pretty busy year for our young practice, we hadn’t even been in business for 12 months, but with the number of patients coming in we thought entering the awards would be a great way to celebrate the team and the patients,” Dr Jivan said.

“We didn’t have an expectation to win.

“I think passion was the thing that got us over the line.

“We really care about what we did, what we currently do and the support of the community and patients who really wanted something different, which I think we delivered on.

“Whether you win or lose, that’s not the point.

“It’s the celebration of business and someone’s ideas and the people you work with.”

Sunshine Coast Business Awards chair Jennifer Swaine said people could nominate their own businesses or others’

“The 2017 awards is an exciting mix of awards which represents the way business is conducted in our region,” Ms Swaine said.
