‘Want it all’ in mum’s new role

Maroochy Weekly - - LIFE -

WURTULLA mum Kate Leiper is changing the way women see their role as a mum.

Her new business baby, The Diamond Women Project, is an initiative aimed at mums who “want it all and to do it all – fabulously”.

As a perinatal psychotherapist with two little ones at home, Kate believes that once women learn to embrace the potential of their new identity and tap into their postnatal superpowers, they can truly begin to find joy and unlimited possibilities in motherhood.

Ms Leiper said the business idea came about after connecting with a lot of women who had been “thrown into motherhood”.

“With what I know about women and this time of their life, I want to show them how awesome it can be,” she said.

“Also this identity shift, how I can support mum’s transition into this new identity and harness these new possibilities.

“With a bit of creativity and innovation, mums can nail life in every shiny, multi-faceted way.”

As well as networking events, Ms Leiper also runs Mama Like a Boss programs with the aim of supporting new mums.

“It seems to be the situation that women know who they are and, when they become mums, it throws them into disarray,” she said.
