Start pedalling in September to win big

Maroochy Weekly - - NEWS -

LOVE to Ride is back on the Sunshine Coast Council for 2017, encouraging businesses to get their staff on bikes for just ten minutes a day throughout September.

After a stellar 2016, with almost 800 people riding across the Sunny Coast clocking up over 47,000km, 2017 is set to have even more people pedalling, from across Coolum to Caloundra.

The Love to Ride Challenge pits local businesses against each other to earn the most points, prizes, and gloating rights as the winners of Love to Ride 2017.

The challenge works on a points system, with points earned for encouraging others to ride a bike, distance ridden, days ridden and some great bonus points for new riders.

The Love to Ride Campaign is a joint initiative with the Sunshine Coast Council encouraging more people to get on a bike even if it is the first time since childhood.

To get Coasters pedalling along some of our iconic beaches or mountain bike tracks, the Love to Ride team have sourced some great prizes from local businesses.

Riders who ride for just ten minutes throughout the month are in the running to win a two night stay at Tree Tops complete with champagne, bathrobes and chocolate, or a luxurious high tea at Flaxton Gardens or even bike vouchers to get yourself kitted out for the comp.

More prizes are being added every day.
