Maroochy Weekly - - NEWS -

PREPARE to light up the school holidays with Ignite Performing Arts Camp, a jam-packed three-day intensive creative and participatory workshop held on site to help children explore the depths of their innate talent while fanning the embers of their creative potential.

Dance, drama, acrobatics, art – no matter their niche, Ignite has a little something for everyone.

From September 25-27, students will immerse themselves in all things creative, from building stamina in a high-energy hip-hop jam, to producing a colourful rendition of ‘Starry Night’ on canvas – the sky really is the limit.

After three action-packed, fun-filled rehearsal days, talented stage troupers will then take to the grand stand to flaunt their newlyacquired skills in a mini showcase, comprised of a spotlight performance and visual arts exhibition.

Studio founder Claire O’Shea said Ignite Performing Arts Camp focuses on artistic motion.

“We believe in empowering children to attain creative synergy through movement,” Claire said.

Ideal for the burgeoning left-brainer in every household, Ignite aims to provide a safe and inspiring environment for children to explore a positive sense of cultural identity and self-worth, while promoting personal growth.

The workshop costs $249. Visit the website danceenergystudios.net. au/ignite.
