No parking problem
IN RESPONSE to the letter by Alan Thornton, re Buderim car park.
It is about time that Alan and others got off the band wagon about not having enough parking in Buderim. I have lived in Buderim for very nearly 30 years and while the amount of traffic in Buderim has increased, I do not agree that a multi-level car park is needed in Buderim.
Go any time during the day to the town centre and you will find parking, whether it be in the main street or the many parking spaces behind businesses like ANZ/Westpac banks, NAB/Suncorp banks, Bendigo bank and Bank of Queensland, if you are doing business with them.
Further more, there is public parking behind the post office and the Hub, then if you are shopping in the Woolworths complex, you will find a parking space.
The piece of land next to the Middy’s shops has been used for parking for years, as a school drop-off and no doubt others park there during the day.
I have always found parking within a short distance of where I want to shop.
In fact, on Thursday, September 14 at 4pm, there were several parking spaces near the banks on both sides of the road.
So stop winging about no parking in Buderim, it is there if you just look.
