Fill shopping bags for less

Maroochy Weekly - - ADVERTISING FEATURE / PARENTS AND KIDS -

THE Sunny Coast Baby and Kids Market aims to give families an affordable shopping destination, and an outlet for local businesses to showcase their products.

It’s a perfect opportunity to grab a bargain, purchase products and help support local businesses.

There will be a good selection of pre-loved stalls selling baby and children’s clothes, toys, books, cots, prams, high chairs and portacots as well as beautiful handmade items made locally.

Market organisers aim to give local families the opportunity to pick up all the essentials at a fraction of the price of purchasing new.

“Our markets are held on the last Sunday of every month (excluding school holidays) and are at three locations – Caloundra, Mountain Creek and Nambour,” an organiser said.

There is a raft of activities on the day including free story reading organised by the Sunshine Coast Libraries, free talks from a lactation consultant, free face painting, kids’ haircuts for a small fee, dance shows from local dance schools and arts and craft activities.

There’s always free bounty bags to give away as well as free jumping castle at the Caloundra and Mountain Creek markets.

The entertainment varies from market to market so it’s best to stay up to date by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

The Sunny Coast Baby and Kids Market is a great place to have a stall.

“We provide you with the table and chair, and all you need to bring is what you want to sell,” an organiser said.

“Pre-loved stalls start at $40 and you can always share with a friend to make the day more enjoyable. Business stalls start from $55.

“Bookings can be made through our website. Markets fill up quickly so it’s best to book ahead for the market you are considering.

“All market dates can be found on our website.

“At the Sunny Coast Baby and Kids Market our aim is for you to have a fun morning out.

“All venues are indoors with pram access and nearby parking.”

Hot food and coffee are available for purchase.

Entry is $2. Kids are free.
