Maroochy Weekly - - NEWS -

CALL My Doctor commenced in the Sunshine Coast to Maryborough region last week.

The service is available from 6am to midnight initially.

If there is enough demand, it will grow to a 24-hour service.

Call My Doctor allows residents to call an Australian registered GP seven days a week, for a consultation for non-life-threatening ailments.

This is a pay-for-fee service.

Each consultation costs $55.

By phoning 13 47 11 you will be connected to a doctor, either by phone or video, who will conduct a consultation with you and issue scripts, medical certificates, and a professional diagnosis according to your needs.

The service could help reduce the number of presentations to hospital emergency departments and ensure residents have continuity of a doctor, just a phone call away.
