Remember the senior animal citizens

Maroochy Weekly - - LIFE - JULIE PENLINGTON

BELLA loves people.

She’s friendly and enjoys spending time playing and walking with her humans.

Bella is an adorable dog, very pleasing in nature, obedient, affectionate and loving.

She knows some basic commands, ongoing training would be something that would help her to thrive. 4 Paws will help with training.

Bella is suited only to a one dog home: sadly her owners did not socialise her when she was a puppy.

Bella looks a little bigger than her actual size in this photo: she's only 7.5kg. Please call 0400 251 396 or 0411 144 689 to apply.

We also have many bonded pairs needing homes, so if you want to make your home complete give us a call

■ One thing 4 Paws specialise in is senior cats and dogs.

Many people have to move into care and 4 Paws takes many of these pets in.

They then stay with us in permanent care or we find them a new home. We then may well ask what is considered a senior pet?

Dogs and cats are considered senior from eight years upwards.

4 Paws finds on nearly every older pet we get in there is always a lot of work to be done.

Neglected dental issues can play a great part in a pets health and well-being and can cause ongoing complications.

They get old just like us and will need the same help as we do.

Many vets have a senior program that is a good package and an economical way to help your senior pets.

I know our vet at Nicklin Way Vet Surgery does and it’s well received. Talk to your vet and give your senior pal a hand especially with the colder weather.
