Jazz lovers won’t want to miss this show

THE Sun­shine Coast Jazz Club is proud to host Trom­bone Kel­lie & The Muddy Road­ers at the Caloun­dra Power Boat Club on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 21, from 2pm.

They are skilled mu­si­cians with the gift of be­ing truly en­ter­tain­ing and fully en­gag­ing with their au­di­ence, with a unique blend of blues, jazz swing, rock­a­billy, New Or­leans styles, tra­di­tional jazz, gospel, western swing, soul and more – they love the mu­sic and it shows – fea­tur­ing in­spi­ra­tional vo­cals and raunchy horns, provoca­tive gui­tar and driv­ing rhythm sec­tion.

Led by Kel­lie who en­chants the au­di­ences as she ex­presses both pow­er­ful and in­spi­ra­tional vo­cals along­side her sen­sual melodic trom­bone.

This is en­hanced by the in­dus­tri­ous “Scrubby Pete” on sup­port­ive rhythm gui­tar with some of his trade­mark au­then­tic rock­a­billy/blues styles and vo­cals.

Also fea­tures Toby Baron on drums, Justin Pfeif­fer dou­ble bass and vo­cals, Derek Sid­don on trum­pet and vo­cals.
